A huge migration of flamingos flock to the lake between December and March, if you visit then, you'll see flocks of up to 10,000 flamingos.

Although the beach of Larnaca isn't the best Cyprus offers, a short ride away to Ayia Napa will open up a 15 mile stretch of beautiful beaches.
