Certainly the best time to visit this exciting city is during the dry season, November to April. Temperatures can reach 30 degrees C so make sure you go out either in the morning or evening when temperatures are slightly cooler. The wet season from May to October is still very hot although it does rain every day. The peak season in Angeles is when schools are on holiday or there’s a national holiday. Angeles in the Philippines is in the province of Pampanga. It’s a busy place where businesses, tourism and aviation co-exist along with entertainment, leisure and gaming centres in central Luzon. Known as the Town of Angels, there are many different districts including Anunas which is home to Korea Town and light industry. Balibago and Malabañas are the main entertainment districts where visitors can enjoy shopping malls, luxurious hotels and beach clubs. There are vibrant markets selling everything imaginable.

Angeles has a fantastic nightlife too. Landmarks in Angeles such as the Salakot Arch is definitely worth a visit. This was built to commemorate the Philippines’ sovereignty and was designed just like a native hat or salakot. See the beautiful Santo Rosario Church which was erected in 1877 and took 18 years to finish. A lovely place to just sit and contemplate. Children will love Bayanihan Park that has basketball and volley ball courts, huge open spaces including picnic areas. With so much going on, Angeles is a great place to spend a holiday no matter what age. The Angeles people are really friendly and enjoy welcoming visitors from all over the world.
The most popular and cheapest way to get around Angeles is by jeepney. There are two jeepney stations in the city. Tricycles are another way to see more of Angeles. These exciting vehicles have side cars with a driver on the bike in front. Do haggle a price before getting in as fares are usually a bit higher than using a jeepney.
The airport is only about 3 miles (4.8 km) west of the city so do expect a short journey time. There are taxis and buses just outside the terminal building. Travel to the city from the airport by a Jeepney. This mixture of a jeep and a jitney is the most popular mode of transport in the Philippines.
