The competition is open to entrants from South Africa only aged 18 years and over. Entries open Friday October 14th 2016 at 8:00am UTC and close on Tuesday 1st November 2016 at 11.55pm. UTC.

Competition Terms and Conditions

No purchase necessary. Entry to the competition is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions. By entering you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.

In order to participate, the entrant must enter the promoter’s ‘Cheapflights South Africa Travel Awards’ competition via the Cheapflights website.

The entrant will be asked to cast their votes for at least one nominee in all eleven categories. Once they have cast a vote in all eleven categories, the entrant will then be eligible for the competition prize. They must submit their full name, postcode and a valid email address. They will also be required to confirm they are a resident of South Africa, and accept the competition Terms & Conditions.

There is limit of 1 entry per person. The competition is open to entrants from South Africa aged 18 years and over only.

After the competition closing date, Cheapflights will select one winner from all entries at random, using a random prize draw generator.

The start date for entries is Friday October 14th 2016 at 8:00am UTC.

The closing date for entries is Tuesday 1st November 2016 at 11.55pm. UTC. Entries received after this date and time will not be accepted.

Prizes:

The main competition prize is two (2) return flights to Mauritius up to a combined value of 17500 RAND (ZAR). The prize includes flights only.

Prize draws:

The final draw will take place on Wednesday November 2nd 2016 at 3pm. UTC. The winners will be notified via email within one day of the draw. The prize winners are required to accept his/her prizes by email within ten days of notification. In the event of non-acceptance, a supplementary winner may be drawn at the promoter’s discretion. The winner must take their trip within one calendar year of accepting the prize. After this, the prize will no longer be valid.

The prize is non-transferable. There is no cash alternative to the prizes.

The competition prize winner and their guest are responsible for paying all additional costs (above the 17500 RAND (ZAR) limit) associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in these Terms & Conditions), including, where applicable, transport to and from the respective airports, additional accommodation fees , meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.
The promoter holds no responsibility or liability for the winner and their guest. Insurance is not included in the prize. The promoter strongly advises the winner and their guest to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their trip. The promoter will not be held responsible for any hotel or flight cancellations and, therefore, advises the winner to ensure cancellation is included in their travel insurance.
The promoter reserves the right to amend the specification of the prize, or offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value, at any time before the competition closes.

The competition winner is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including valid passports and visas.
The prize winners may be required to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion. The winners’ names and photos will be made available upon request and winners may be displayed on the Cheapflights Social Media feeds and websites.
The right is reserved to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time.

The promoter assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the competition period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating and entering in the promotion. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the promoter reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically MV reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, plagiarized, altered or tampered with in any way.

The promoter shall be entitled to terminate or modify the promotion or to modify these rules at any time prior to the closing date by publishing any such modification or termination on any website operated by the promoter.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of the promoter shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and accordingly the promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.

The promoter has organized this competition in good faith and does not accept liability relating to the prize.
