I reserved an economy car.. I arrived at 8am to pick up the car. They had no cars. They said they might not have a car that day. I was later offered a 12 passenger van that had been to the beach and had not been cleaned. It was full of sand and trash. It was only me driving a dirty 12 passenger van from Lexington KY to Memphis TN. The van also smelled like someone smoked in it.

No car at pick-up location. Avis would not do anything to get me a replacement car. Had to take a taxi ($24) to airport for new pick & drop off ($24), 2-hours out of the way. Vehicle had been in bumper accident. Terrible experience.
