Peak season:
Depending on where exactly you’d like to go and what you’re aiming at experiencing, you may very well be able to book a cheap flight to Peru during their peak touristic season. Most of the coastline is at its best during the summer months, which run from December through March. Hikers and nature enthusiast will enjoy exploring the Inca Trail between May and September, which is when the dry season takes its course.
Off season:
With the rainy season running from November through May, Peru generally sees a thinner crowd of tourists flocking to its shores, which may also mean that accommodation and flight prices are greatly reduced. Keep in mind that occasional flooding comes hand-in-hand with the rainy season and can often disrupt transport services.
Taking a cheap flight to Peru could land you in some of the most idyllic locations on the face of the earth: from the Sacred Valley to the ever-so-amazing Machu Picchu. Home to the world’s highest lake, deepest canyon, the oldest city in the Americas, longest waves on earth, and the source of the world’s longest river, Peru offers tourists with one-thousand-and-one reasons why it should be on their ‘must-see’ list!

TAAG Angloa Airlines, KLM, Lone Star Airlines, British Airways, and Air France all have cheap flights on offer to Peru. While some of these airlines offer the most comfortable fare, others may suit a tight budget better. In order to find the best deal on flights to Peru, it’s advisable to compare a few destinations and airlines. Just make sure you book your flight 30-90 days in advance to avoid overpaying for late bookings.
Lima
Getting from Jorge Chávez Airport to the Lima city center can be done via taxi, airport shuttle, or the buses. Taxis might be your most expensive option, but if you book one in advance from inside the airport, it should be your fastest way of getting from the airport to the city center. Alternatively, you can take the express bus, which runs to Centro and Miraflores, or you may also want to consider taking a bus parked outside of the arrivals terminal.
Cusco
You can take a Llama Taxi (which is the official taxi company operating from Cusco Airport) in order to get to the city center, but be sure to reserve a taxi at their booth inside the airport. There are also a lot of unofficial taxis parked outside of the airport offering transportation services, which might be cheaper and faster to use, but availability might be an issue.
