Cheap Car Hire in Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport

Terrible car rental First car at garage check engine light on Second tape all around door from window either broke before Third scratches all on car Fourth car I had no choice on a nice 2022 Honda Civic which loved the gas mileage but had scratches all on car and Dent on passenger side which guy told me at service don’t worry about it but again when I returned car they pointed out everything I discribed… I had to fill out a damage slip for something I didn’t do…. I will never use Hertz again very disappointed

Good but had a long trip and there were very few gas but plenty electric vehicles .

Nobody was there to show me to the car or to tell me which cars were available for my reservation. I had to run around the parking lot with my suitcases looking for someone to help me. Car was not fully charged even though I paid for the refuel option. When I asked the associate she said that’s how it works and was generally unhelpful and distracted.

Long wait to check in

When we arrived there were no cars available and we were not told that until after we reserved and paid the deposit for the car on arrival. We then went to the car pickup area where there were about 100 people waiting for a car. While the front desk upstairs continued to book new car reservations and said they will give a car as they are returned which resulted in a 4 hour wait. To make it worse the front desk people were laughing, and at one point one went down to FaceTime the upstairs staff to show them the line WHILE LAUGHING. THEY WERE RUDE AND DISGUSTING and I will never in my life rent with Avis again.

No where did I read that they didn’t take debit cards or cash. No business in this country should be able to refuse cash! I will not use them again

They had no cars available. Their telephone customer service was abysmal

They did not have any car available for us despite the fact that we had already paid for one

The car was excellent. My experience with Kayak was wonderful as usual. I reserved a car which would make me assume a car was available. I had to wait an hour to finalize my car and the average wait to actually get one was 2+ hours. This significantly delayed travel plans I would expect if a reservation is available, it means a car will be. This needs to be addressed by Thrifty/Dollar.

Very casual about not being able to provide a car despite my reservation. Absolutely no apology or explanation. Horrible. Never again.

Never used ACE before but will again. Somewhat of a line checking in, but had the car I reserved, easy pickup and later drop off. Car was clean and well maintained. All staff members were friendly and helpful.

I was NOT satisfied at all!!! I reserved the vehicle, got in line for pick-up and I was told that there wasn’t any more vehicles.!!!! That is NOT acceptable. I had to wait in line for a shuttle to take me to my hotel!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! I will make sure to NEVER use Alamo again. I will definitely tell my friends and family to go to another reputable car rental that will honor their reservations. Regards,

The process from beginning to end was seem less. I can’t think of anything I would change. We grabbed a car last minute and everyone was absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much

Personal thank you to Duitar (I am almost positive I spelled his name wrong). He was at the National counter. Anyway, he worked to ensure that I had the best deal possible and considering how busy they were, he made the process feel efficient. Once we went into the garage, I took a moment to stand in front of the fan to get some air and a guy came over to direct us to a car eliminating the need to go to the desk. So all in all, great experience. Thank you!

When I arrived, it took me almost an hour to get a hold of someone for pickup. The pickup person was unhelpful, even though I was traveling alone with two small children. When I arrived at the location, I was given a vehicle that was very worn down, inside and outside, but I had few choices since most vehicles there didn't seem to be in better shape. The car had the engine light and tire pressure lights on. They did not offer to give me a new car, but instead inflated the low tires. During my short rental the car tires continued to deflate, but I was too far to be able to return the car for a new one. The seatbelts were so badly ripped in several places, that only 3/7 seatbelts actually worked. The car is not road worthy. It shook if I drove more than 50 miles an hour, and needs alignment and repairs. The interior was dirty and missing accessories and parts. When I returned the car, they charged me for a full tank of gas, even though they gave me a car that didnt even have half a tank on it, and I returned it with the same amount. After checkout, I asked for a transport to the airport, as per the website, and they said they could not provide transport. So I was left with two small kids, luggage and car seat, in the rain to figure out how to get to the airport myself. Overall, terrible, terrible experience. Never again.

We didn't know the rental was off-site. Our plan was aboiut an hour late and then cancelled our van without notifing us. We will never use a service this again, or book through Kayak.

I reserved a van through Kayak and got a confirmation but when I got there they said there was no reservation made. They have a van on the spot but it was twice the price of what it was on Kayak

They counter was closed at 1207, after I called ahead and said my flight was delayed. So I didn’t receive my rental in the next morning, had to reserve a second hotel and pay two hefty Urbers. I reserved a midsize vehicle, for one person. They gave me a mini van. But the van clean.

No one at desk, we waited 15 min while a nearby rental agency came to help. No sign was put up to tell us where to go. He looked around & found one behind the counter telling us to go to the rental garage & find a neighboring company’s return desk. Car was fine, rate was decent, staff were overworked but friendly. Seems like staffing issues. Will likely rent with one of the larger companies that had staff at their desk next time.

So it would be extremely helpful if people knew exactly what kind of deposit was expected from the rental car dealership. I had to pay a 250$ deposit but I budgeted 200$. So us know before booking the rental what deposit is required for that specific merchant
