When I arrived at the budget location to pick up my car, I was told that they were on a waitlist, even though I had made a reservation well in advance, and that it would be at least two hours if I was even able to get my car. It ended up being two hours after my scheduled pickup when I was called and offered a truck, which I did not reserve, but had to take because I was now very late for beginning my trip. Terrible service and an unconscionable way to operate a business.

I had a reservation for 9am and was told it would be 30-1 hour wait due to no cars but I waited almost 2 hours. I was supposed to take my sisters to the airport on my way to Jackson, MS but instead we had to foot a $50 bill so they could get there in time. The staff at the Budget had their hands tied but were NOT helpful and wouldn’t offer any discounts or acknowledgment of how much inconvenience this caused at many layers!!! DO BETTER BUDGET!

They only had electric cars to rent. Teslas may be good for city rentals, but we were driving to another state and charging an e vehicle takes way too long. We almost missed our flight as we were told it takes 20 minutes to charge, but was more like 45 and we had to charge it three times. Horrible experience

Didn’t appreciate a $60.24 car rental to be $190.94 for under 24 hour car rental returned with full gas and 30 minutes early! Ridiculous!! And to get a refund, I have to submit receipts and couldn’t even talk to a customer service representative. Sorry business behavior.

We arrived with our confirmation at the time of pick up and the line was 2 hours long. For them to then tell us that there was no cars available. We called Priceline to dispute our reservation and Priceline told us they had to first get the car rental company story. Horrible experience. Horrible customer service.

I didn’t like anything. I showed up at 6 am when the internet said they opened. The worker arrived at 8 am. I had reserved a car online, yet was told they weren’t allowing same day, one way rentals, which was not communicated on the website. I neither had a good experience, nor left there with a car that was clearly on the lot. I could accept the non same day rental policy. It’s hard to wait in line for two hours because they didn’t open on time, to only not receive an automobile. I lost $22 to Kayak for the pleasure of having this horrendous experience.

On the whole, our experience was positive. I was disappointed however that we were told the vehicle we'd be renting had 7/8 of a full tank and that we should be returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel. Filling a tank to 7/8 can of course be problematic and not as straight forward as filling a full tank. When we took off with the vehicle we noticed that it wasn't 7/8 full but rather 1/8 full and the gas light came on about 30 min after having left the rental location. We captured this information and tried to contact the rental location to explain the situation, but nobody was available to take our call. Needless to say we returned the vehicle with 7/8 of a full tank and asked the second location if we could be reimbursed the cost of the difference between 1/8 and 7/8 of a full tank. We were told that unfortunately there was nothing they could do but to contact customer service. When I contacted customer service and explained the situation I was reimbursed $50.00 for our troubles. So all-in-all a good experience, but could have been better. Would know better for next time and would still rent with AVIS.

Horrible! Economy Rent A Car left me stranded at the airport. Never showed up to pick me up. I called and followed their instructions to the letter. Phone never picked up. I left a message informing I had arrived & was waiting… for over 2 hours. Ended up renting directly with Budget Car Rental. Never Kayak again!!

The staff was very nice and professional. Getting to the location was a bit confusing as they were across the street from where all the other airport rentals were. The car was incredibly dirty and had cosmetic damage at pick-up (despite it being only 2 years old). Had issues with tire pressure on the second day of the rental and I had to refill one of the tires. The windshield wipers desperately needed replacing as well. Very good fuel economy though!

You should know this site is not at the rental car site near the airport where the other rental car companies are located. There is a shuttle that picks you up from the airport and takes you to that common rental car area. You then have to take a second (NOLA Rental Car) shuttle to their location. Pick up after that was easy, car was clean. HOWEVER, when it came to drop off (ours was at 4am to catch our 5:30 flight)), there was no shuttle back to the airport shuttle, like they told us. The place was locked up, and we waited in the dark at 4am for someone to show up. Ended up having to take an Uber back to the airport, losing valuable time. Will not rent from them again.
